Fantasy Football Premier League is back after a lengthy international break, and I can tell that you’re jittery to get back in the thick of things!
But how has it all changed during this brief break? What about the teams that had disappointed us the last time around and the ones punching above their weight?
Let’s move back to basics! These are the players that I strongly recommend that you consider when registering your fantasy football selection ahead of Round 8 of the EPL. Just the same, I’ve thrown in a few player names you might want to avoid.
Looking to turn winning into a habit? You’ll be able to try and prove your worth in FootballCoin’s fantasy Premier League contest this weekend. It’s all free, and you stand to win real prizes in each contest that you enter.
These Are the Players You Need for Premier League Fantasy Football for Round 8!
Well, it’s a sad thing to see. Ange Postecoglou is likely playing for his future at Nottingham Forest as the team takes on Chelsea this Friday.
But your fantasy football reputation and results might be improved by considering Chelsea’s keeper Sanchez for selection. Pedro has been in fine form, as has Caicedo. And if you’re looking for a bit of a thrill, Brazil’s Estevao may be worth keeping tabs on.
Meanwhile, Forest’s Milenkovic is a player that I’ll always back in fantasy football. And while Gibbs-White and Hudson-Odoi have great potential, this might not be the game where they show it. Quite a risk, just as picking Igor Jesus is at the moment.
It’ll be very interesting to see this exciting Everton side take on a Manchester City that has opted for robust, meat-and-potatoes tactics. This means that, of course, Haaland is still a great pick for fantasy football. Meanwhile, the four central defensive line, which includes Gvardiol and Dias, should also be a sound pick.
However, expect Grealish to shine in this one and try to show his former employers what they are missing. Is Foden also back? Hard to tell just yet!
There are plenty of reasons to consider Semenyo the Player of the Season so far. Bournemouth’s away fixture to Crystal Palace might just help lend strength to this idea. Good pick, possibly as a sub if you’re playing FootballCoin.
Liverpool and Manchester United are both far from their best. This makes them unpredictable. Of course, Van Dijk and Fernandes are safe picks. However, give Mbeumo a chance! His speed may really give Liverpool’s full-backs something to work against.
Finally, does this look like a winning Arsenal side? Quite possibly! But to prove it, Arteta’s team will need to get a boring, predictable win against Fulham. Gyokeres is a good pick if he’s also an affordable one. Calafiori and Timber are good as well, considering how much they contribute offensively as full-backs. Eze and Saka are really starting to discover their form this season.
The Players You Need to Avoid in Round 8!
Foden is a great player looking to make a great push ahead of the World Cup. But, perhaps, you ought to wait a little more before giving him another chance.
Manchester United would typically have been great target practice for new Liverpool boys Wirtz and Isak. But, as things stand, the former hasn’t adjusted to the pace of the EPL, and the Swede is still fighting to find form. Avoid Kerkez like the plague!
Meanwhile, Casemiro may be an all-time great. But this Ruben Amorim system will require him to up his pace against Liverpool. Avoid this card!
There are doubts about Arsenal’s Odegaard starring against Fulham. Madueke and Havertz are certainly out.
Palmer, Fernandez and James remain unavailable for Enzo Maresca, and you should also remember not to pick them. Chalobah, on the other hand, has served out his suspension, but looks a little shaky.
