Fantasy Football Premier League isn’t more of the same, unless you’re dead set on choosing Manchester United players for your team. Nah, teams have improved, newly transferred players are determined to make their mark, and the teams who’ve been missing out on trophies are eyeing up silverware.
But isn’t that a lot to consider? Isn’t that plenty to digest? Yes, while I agree, I also want to try and offer some solutions.
These are the players that should improve your fantasy football team ahead of Round 3. I’ve thrown in a few desperate cases as well, players you might want to avoid until further notice.
Just a second! Before you dive in, remember that FootballCoin’s fantasy Premier League is free, you can choose a new team for each new week and that each contest offers plenty of real prizes. The free contest for Round 3 can be found here.
These Are the Players You Need for Fantasy Football in the English Premier League for Round 3
It’s Liverpool vs. Arsenal that’ll dominate news headlines come next week. And that makes perfect sense. This is not just a game between the top two teams of last season, but the teams playing the best-looking football this season.
Who’s bound to make their mark? The Gunners should be hungriest. William Saliba is in good form and full of confidence. Declan Rice shines in big games.
And Victor Gyokeres? Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate have shown that they can be caught on the counter-attack, but getting Gyokeres to slalom past them seems like a bridge too far.
Meanwhile, Hugo Ekitike has gotten off to a great start. He’s worth a look, and so is Mohamed Salah despite a really poor performance last week.
Newcastle showed spirit despite losing to the same Liverpool last week. Bruno Guimares looks to build a legacy and is worth a pick. Nick Pope can keep a sheet and might just be your goalkeeper pick. Dan Burns is perfect in defence.
Looking for more defenders? Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven should collect plenty of points when Bournemouth visits London to play Spurs. Gugliemo Vicario can maintain a clean sheet.
The Players You Need to Avoid in Round 3
It lacks class to criticise professional footballers too hard, especially when you’re doing it while sitting on your couch. I’ll just say that I was shocked by Milos Kerkez‘s first two Liverpool games. I’ll be even more shocked if you pick him.
That extends to most of Manchester United’s squad, considering that the majority of starters against Burnley will have played in the monumental failure against Grimsby. Yeah, United could well win against a newly-promoted side. But can you truly back them at this point?
