These Are the Players You Need for Premier League Fantasy Football for Round 28!

As I always do, I’ll start with the sure hits. Is Aston Villa a clear winner against Wolves? No, Unai Emery’s recent streak is uneven. However, we’re talking about a team rightfully in 3rd place, and one that earnestly deserves last place.

I think that Villa’s midfielders and defenders deserve your attention. I think Onana, Luiz, Cash, Mings, and Konsa are all fine fantasy football picks.

Liverpool isn’t exactly back to the team’s best. But the Reds have enough to put in a good performance against lowly West Ham. Defenders Van Dijk and makeshift wing-back Szoboszlai are a good fit. Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Ekitike also look good.

Manchester United looks like a lucky team at the end of the season. Oliver Glassner’s Crystal Palace, meanwhile, is just waiting for the whole ordeal of the 2025/26 season to be over. Lammens is a great choice for the goalie position. B. Fernandes is a must-have, as is Casemiro if you can afford playing him. Mbeumo looks good. And, it’s likely that Sesko and Cunha will start off top. Both are worth considering for your fantasy football squad.

Now, what about harder-to-predict picks? Manchester City tends to shine in the closing stages of a campaign. However, this is little like the Guardiola teams of old. Leeds will prove a strong opponent. Haaland and O’Reilly, still, are worth getting on your team.

There’s some risk in picking Brentford players as the team plays Burnley away. Still, I think that the likes of van den Berg, Collins, Outtara and Jensen are fantastic picks for anyone trying to balance the budget of their fantasy football team.

The Players You Need to Avoid in Round 28

I don’t think Villa will inflict too much damage against Wolves, but will edge out three points. That’s why I think that there are better options than strikers Watkins, Buendia, and Rogers out there.

Still not sold on the idea of Kerkez as a wing-back for Liverpool. Also, I think Salah and Gakpo might be too expensive even as the Reds take on West Ham United.

I can’t see Donnarumma holding a clean sheet against Leeds or, more specifically, World Cup-bound Calvert-Lewin. I also think that Semenyo and Foden are unpredictable enough that there are better options out there.
