Gameweek 4 Deadline Alert

  • GW1 Deadline: Friday 12th of September, 17:00
  • Squad Constraint: 11 Starters + 5 Substitutes
  • Target Contest: Free Tour EPL🇬🇧-R4 ($0 cost, 4.500 XFC rewards)

It’s official! The Premier League is the most competitive league in Europe and there’s no way of telling from one week to the next which teams have it and which don’t.

Does that still make you want to assemble a winning EPL fantasy football team? Are you still looking to win? Great!

Here are the players that I recommend that you get ahead of GW4. I’ve been writing fantasy football tips columns for a decade and I’ve confidence in these choices.

In my estimation, the best thing that you can do with this information is to take it out to FootballCoin, the daily fantasy football game that includes the world’s top leagues. Why? You get to enter new contests every week, and can win prizes every day. Besides, the whole thing is free.

My Gameweek 4 Squad Reveal

OK. Let’s think this through. The EPL is filled with world-class talent. Do all of these cards warrant the price tag that is attached to them? (Remember that in FootballCoin you can buy cards, lease them for one contest, or if they’re 1* or 2*, get them for free).

With that in mind, I’m focusing on affordable players where I see value and including a few established stars known for their consistency.

What system am I playing? I’m sticking to a 5-4-1 formation for Gameweek 4. Defenders in the EPL have been especially efficient in recent seasons because of the highly demanding physical requirements and the need to balance both attacking and defensive duties.

Position Player Name Club Card Tier Why Included for GW4
GK Zion Suzuki Aston Villa 1★ – Free Suzuki has mighty big gloves to fill. GW4 is where he turns things around
DEF 1 Luka Vuskovic Brighton 2★ – Free w/ lease Sensational start to the season that can continue against last-placed Coventry. Another smart transfer from Brighton
DEF 2 Marc Guehi Manchester City  4★ Looks well-equipped to take on Man. United’s attackers given recent form
DEF 3 Jaydee Canvot Crystal Palace 2★ – Free w/ lease Should put in another strong performance against Ipswich. Fantasy football’s scoring system should work in his advantage
DEF 4 Josh King Fulham 2★ – Free w/ lease Impressive rookie with morale and an unimpressive Liverpool team on his side
DEF 5 Jeremy Jacquet Liverpool  1★ – Free For sheer budgetary advantages, hard to find anyone more suitable
MID 1 Tyrique George Everton 1★ – Free George has been taking full advantage of the Toffees’ budgetary restrictions
MID 2 Dominik Szoboszlai Liverpool 4★ Liverpool’s leader and sole player who always seems to perform to a high standard
MID 3 Declan Rice Arsenal 5★ Arsenal’s most important player, who is now back to full fitness
MID 4 Harvey Barnes Newcastle 2★ – Free w/ lease Considerable talent who’ll need to make up for lost time in a game against Leeds United
FW Joao Pedro Chelsea 5★ Pedro is looking to prove his worth after missing the World Cup. The game against Hull should be a great opportunity
AM Gareth Bale Retired AM 5★ Will provide 15 automatic points to your team

My 3 Must-Have “Sleeper Picks” for GW4

Victor Lindelof (Experienced Defender) – The Aston Villa defender has surprised many, including me. The Swedish veteran is stepping up at a time when Aston Villa desperately needs this type of leadership. Lindelof is worth keeping on your radar

Robin Roefs (Future Star Keeper) – Roefs had some of the best goalie stats in fantasy football last season. Sunderland is facing champions Arsenal in Gameweek 4. However, this could be an opportunity shaped like a challenge.

AlexanderIsak (Potential Goal machine) – Isak’s first year at Liverpool was disastrous. But there’s a sense that he’s turning things around and that he’s one of the few Liverpool players using their full potential. A game against Fulham could be just what he needs
