Diego Costa - Spain

Sunday brings two of the most disproportionate fights in the first knockout stage of this World Cup. Two of the competition’s favorites, Croatia and Spain, take on Denmark and Russia. FootballCoin managers are among the ones who will be looking forward to the games They will benefit from a large array of choices in a bid to create winning teams in the game’s contests.

Traditionally the team hosting the World Cup is a favorite in most of the games. However, FIFA’s recent  decisions have somewhat changed matters. The tournament is now in Russia. Four years prior South Africa organized it, while Qatar will be responsible with hosting the event in 2022. The host nation, currently ranked 70 in the world, meets Spain, one of the favorites to win the grand trophy. Spain won once before in 2010 and are looking to add a second in 2018.

Luka Modric - Croatia

Spain’s campaign seemed doomed from the start when the Spanish federation announced plans to replace the team’s manager, Julen Lopetegui, merely days before the competition was due to start. His replacement, Fernando Hierro, found a highly motivated and organized team, comprised of some of the world’s best players. Things chugged smoothly ahead. The squad’s stars are Diego Costa, Isco and Andreas Iniesta. They’ve performed great in the group stage. But make no mistake, the 23 man squad looks set to put up a strong fight at any stage of the competition.

Other good news, for FootballCoin managers at least, is that all of Russia’s players are free in the contests. Certainly, the team’s defeat to Uruguay says more about the team’s qualities than their victory over Saudi Arabia. Despite this, Russia still maintains a good chance for tonight’s game.

Any top manager is in need of a good scout. With this in mind, we’d like to offer some suggestions for players you may want to use for today’s contests:

  • Igor Akinfeev (Russia)
  • Alcantara, Thiago (Spain)
  • Manuel Fernandes (Russia)
  • Odriozola, Alvaro (Spain)
  • Denis Cheryshev (Russia)

In the day’s other match, Croatia take on  Denmark. The Croatians easily won a group that included Argentina, Iceland and Nigeria. Denmark, on the other hand, qualified alongside France from a group also featuring the less notable Peruvian and Australian teams.

Croatia’s success looks to have been in the works for some years. In the end, their most famous players are active for the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona. And this has been the case for years. A national team seemingly capable of producing an endless array of talented youth, Croatia’s team also includes a few free player cards in the FootballCoin game.

Christian eriksen - Denmark

The Scandinavians are lead on the field Christian Eriksen, the Spurs midfielder seemingly in the prime of his career. The team also includes talented players like Simon Kjaer and Kasper Schmeichel. Simply said, Denmark can produce a surprise today. However, with the Croatians seemingly on their way to equaling their best performance in a World Cup (that of 1998), the Croatians are expected not to let this chance go to waste.

Once more we’d like to suggest a few players you may want to consider for you FootballCoin teams:

  • Dalsgaard, Henrik (Danemarca)
  • Rebic, Ante (Croația)
  • Kjaer, Simon (Danemarca)
  • Strinic, Ivan( Croația)
  • Poulsen, Yussuf (Danemarca)
