My GW7 Fantasy Squad Reveal

It’s Barcelona, and it’s Real Madrid, right? Well, not quite. La Liga’s reputation is growing back, I think. Exciting youngsters and experienced players have recently joined. And it’s my duty to take into account all of these things.

I’m playing a 5-4-1 formation for this one, but feel free to edit and adapt.

Position Player Name Club Card Tier Why Included for GW1
GK Alvaro Valles Betis Sevilla 2★ – Free w/ lease Affordable goalie who has had a great season so far. Good fixture against Budimir’s Osasuna
DEF 1 Rafita Garrido Malaga 1★ – Free A 21-year-old who knows that this season can make his entire career. Malaga could finally get on the board here.
DEF 2 Javi Guerra Valencia  2★ – Free w/ lease Guerra is on the radar of many bigger teams than Valencia. This is a good fixture where he can do really well.
DEF 3 Hector Bellerin Real Betis 3★ Remember him? He’s having a comeback season. It’s a good fixture for Betis as well
DEF 4 David Hancko Atletico Madrid 2★ – Free w/ lease Atleti is in good form. Hanko is in form and also remarkably affordable
DEF 5 Eric Garcia Barcelona  3★ Finally at the top of his skill. Finally Barca’s most important defender
MID 1 Ruiz de Galarreta Athletic Bilbao 2★ – Free w/ lease Having a late-career comeback. His passing stats are great this season
MID 2 Alberto Moleiro Villareal 2★ – Free w/ lease Sure, he’s facing Real Madrid. Might just be, however, precisely what the 23-year-old is looking forward to
MID 3 Giorgi Kochorashvili Sevilla 2★ – Free w/ lease Part of the “Georgian Revival,” and well-placed in this game against Levante to do well
MID 4 Rodri Barcelona 5★ Best midfielder in the world playing for one of the most exciting teams in the world? Yes, most likely.
FW Lamine Yamal Barcelona 5★ Yamal can score against Getafe, especially with Raphinha likely sidelined with injury
AM Sergio Busquets Retired AM 5★ A 5* Assistant Manager is a must-have

3 Must-Have “Sleeper Picks” for GW7

  • Andrei Radu (Underrated Goalie) – While his international performances won’t make you feel reassured, his playing for Celta Vigo has been top-notch. It’s worth keeping him on your radar.
  • Giuliano Simeone (Mad Dog Striker) – Simeone will dive headfirst if needed. Simeone is proving he can play for Atleti, not simply because of the fact that he’s the manager’s son. And Giuliano is still a very affordable pick.
  • Gabriel Jesus (Striker Looking for a Comeback) – Remember him? Well, neither do Barca fans. But he’s likely to star for the team this weekend with Raphinha injured. And considering the team’s form, he could produce something special
