It was an uncharacteristically quiet winter transfer window. It means that your favourite player may need to keep pulling a double shift, but also that you don’t have to bother learning about too many squad changes.

Frankly, the fantasy Football Premier League contests have never been more interesting than they are now. Perhaps this is a direct consequence of how close the league is this year.

Either way, you might need some help. A cheat sheet, maybe, ahead of Round 25? These are the players that you certainly need on your team and ones that, despite the temptation, you might want to avoid for now.

Once you’re done soaking up the info, use it in the free fantasy football contest in FootballCoin and, if you’ve picked right, get ready to win actual prizes by the end of Round 25.

These Are the Players You Need for Premier League Fantasy Football for Round 25!

What last week proved was that Michael Carrick’s simple tactics are effective for Manchester United and that Spurs players, the few left uninjured, will fight for manager Thomas Frank. Lammens and Mainoo are great, affordable options. Fernandes and Casemiro fit right in if you can afford them. Meanwhile, Romero is always a solution, and Gallagher shows promise.

Bournemouth playing Aston Villa is the derby few of us expected. Things could work better this week for Rogers, Cash and Martinez, while Torres will try to compensate for the mistakes of last week. Meanwhile, Krupi, Scott, Senesi or Smith are all proven, affordable options.

It’s kind of sad seeing Liam Rosenior trying to fashion a team out of this group of Chelsea youngsters brought in so that they can be sold off as soon as their market value increases. Still, Chelsea should win here, and Pedro and Neto will get opportunities to score. Keeping a clean sheet, which is highly realistic, should mean additional points for goalie Sanchez and defenders Chalobah, Gusto or Badiashile.

An easy, morale win, on the other hand, won’t be Arsenal’s game against Sunderland. No, this will be a test of character. Rice and Zubimendi look good for this one. But it’s Xhaka who might really feel inclined to try and make an impact, although there’s the possibility he’ll be injured for Round 25.

Round 25’s real derby, however, is Manchester City’s visit to Liverpool. Neither team has been at its best, but there’s a difference between what Guardiola’s team has managed to recently and the current EPL champions’ output. Reinjders has done well in the League Cup on Wednesday and should be an obvious pick. Gonzalez does well, provided he plays ahead of Rodri.

Recently, Liverpool’s Ekitike has impressed, while even Wirtz, Konate and van Dijk look like alright, if not amazingly exciting picks if you can afford their cards in FootballCoin.

The Players You Need to Avoid in Round 25

I’d avoid many of the Spurs players, although they’ve shown some fighting spirit against Manchester City. I’d start by making sure Simmons, Gray and Danso were not on my team.

I saw little from Aston Villa’s Sancho or Abraham to suggest they deserve to be considered ahead of other players.

Arsenal’s Havertz has started scoring. But I’m not convinced just yet. In fact, no attacking player from the Gunners’ squad makes me excited, including Gyokeres or Jesus.

Not yet convinced by Rodri‘s return. Foden‘s form has declined, and Semenyo hasn’t yet excelled for City. I might even add Haaland, for the first time this season, to the list.

Notable, likely, injuries this round include Watkins, Merino, Gomez, Dias, Doku, Dorgu, Livramento, Hudson-Odoi, and Solanke.

There are also a few suspensions to keep in mind, which include Todibo, Williams, Kovacic, Wharton and Schade.
