Spanish La Liga football is, recently, a thing of supreme beauty, is it not? Fantasy La Liga football is a matter of wise decisions taken at just the right time.
Let me try and help you with some of those decisions. Let me use my decade of writing fantasy football blogs to suggest the players I think can help you win in Gameweek 10.
And where should you take these suggestions? Over to FootballCoin‘s daily fantasy football game. Yes, it’s free and, of course, you can win excellent prizes.
My GW10 Fantasy Squad Reveal
Goalkeeper
Unai Simon (Athletic Club de Bilbao) – 4* in FootballCoin – He’s the goalie for the World Champions for a good reason. Athletic’s defence is playing brilliantly this year. Things get trickier in front of goal. I see Simon as a worthwhile investment ahead of GW10.
Defenders
Yoel Lago (Celta Vigo) – 2* and Free w/ lease in FootballCoin – Celta is one of the top defensive teams in La Liga. Just like the club, Lago is an underrated talent. Lago averages 5.3 interceptions per game. This will come in handy, I think, against Betis
Jesus Areso (Athletic Club de Bilbao) – 2* and Free w/ lease in FootballCoin – I’m confident in Areso’s future performances. I know that his stats aren’t great. But Athletic’s defence is top-notch, and they’re bound to drag Areso up to their level.
David Hancko (Atletico Madrid) – 2* and Free w/ lease in FootballCoin – It’s the same this week as last. Hancko remains the best defender with this rating that you can get. He’s world-class and still underrated by fantasy football evaluators.
Angel Perez Hidalgo (Alaves) – 2* and Free w/ lease in FootballCoin – Yes, Alaves keeps losing. But the stats suggest that this is not a team that’s as bad as it looks. And Perez’s assists and shots on target suggest he can be a good, affordable pick in La Liga fantasy football.
Midfielders
Aleix Febas (Celta Vigo) – 2* and Free w/ lease in FootballCoin – Febas’ excellent tackling and confident passing are a good part of this Celta side’s success. Great pick in GW10, in my opinion!
Javier Guerra Moreno (Valencia) – 2* and Free w/ lease in FootballCoin – Will Valencia finally win in GW10? Will they do it against Villarreal? Probably not! Still, that’s not a reflection of youngster Javier Guerra and his recent performances.
Javier Hernandez (Espanyol) – 1* and Free in FootballCoin – There’s a lot of disappointment over Espanyol’s results. But if you’re looking to simply earn points for your team, Hernandez’s involvement in just about all of the team’s attacks can be massively beneficial.
Xavi Espart (FC Barcelona) – 1* and Free in FootballCoin – Espart is not just a blessing for Barcelona’s title chances. He’s a blessing for every fantasy football manager looking for a worthwhile deal. He’s likely to start against Real Madrid after a good performance against PSG at the mid-week.
Forwards
Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad) – 4* and Free in FootballCoin – As predicted by me, Oyarzabal did excellently in GW9. I suspect that his form will carry on a while longer.
Raphinha (FC Barcelona) – 5* and Free in FootballCoin – Yes, he’s still getting back to full fitness. However, Raphinha’s new sense of ambition may come in handy in El Clásico. I predict a good performance. I think he’s worth blowing some of your transfer budget on him.
3 Must-Have “Sleeper Picks” for GW10
Lee Kang-In (Midfielder) – Kang-In is finally settling in at Atletico. In fact, he’s developing into something og a secret weapon. Keep him on your radar! But also, remember Diego Simeone‘s penchant for rotating starting players.
Alberto Moleiro (Striker) – Moleiro looks like a rare talent. At 23 years old, he can already play in multiple positions. He’s already playing at a high level. He’s also delivered goals and assists this season. Remember the name!
Alvaro Valles (Goalkeeper) – Valles’ performances are a mixed bag. But then again, so are Betis Sevilla’s performances as a whole. Will he kill it at the weekend against Celta? He certainly has the skill to maintain a clean sheet in this one, I think.
