My GW5 Fantacalcio Squad Reveal
I’m sticking to my idea that cheap picks can be the best picks. Thankfully, Serie A offers plenty of those ahead of GW5.
Here’s the team that I’ll employ, including the few stars I find to be worth spending on getting in my team. I’ll be playing a 5-4-1 system.

Worth picking given that Fiorentina seems to be turing a corner DEF 3 James Abankwah Udinese 1★ He’s finally getting the opportunity to start for Udinese. And, while performances has not been great so far, I believe he has what it takes in GW5 DEF 4 Carlos Augusto Internazionale 2★ – Free w/ lease Augusto is one of the best players in the Serie A to still be a free pick. Inter is the top team in the league. Pick him now! DEF 5 Jacobo Ramon Como 3★ Ramon is one of Como’s many, young, potentially great players. His recent performances suggest that you should consider picking him for GW5 when Como face Frosinone MID 1 Giacomo Calo Frosinone 1★ OK, Frosinone is doing well. Much of that is due to the club’s sensible transfer policies. Calo is one of the club’s breakout stars MID 2 Franco Mastantuono Fiorentina 3★ Finally, Mastantuono is showing the ability he was rumored all along to have. Who knows how long this will last? Better pick him now while he’s at his best MID 3 Lassana Coulibaly Lecce 2★ – Free w/ lease Coulibaly has been playing consistently in the Serie A since 2021, but this might turn out to be his very best campaign. MID 4 Nico Paz Como 3★ It’s hard to look past Paz in any week of Serie A. It’s been this way for a while. The Argentine is a top midfielder playing truly terrific football at the moment FW Armand Lauriente Sassuolo 3★ Lauriente isn’t as well known as some of the other Serie A star strikers. However, against Monza, and considering his recent form, I think he can score goals. If you’re looking for a relatively affordable pick, he may be your ideal choice. AM Leonardo Bonucci Retired AM 5★ Will give your team 15 points automatically My 3 Must-Have “Sleeper Picks” for GW5
Lorenzo Palmisani (The Well-Scouted Shot Stopper) – Palmisani’s a product of Frosinone’s youth academy. He’s been loaned around and now this goalie whose transfer market vlaue is estimated at 4 million Euro, is helping guide Frosinone to an unexpectedly strong season back in Serie A. if you’re looking for a budget pick, Palmisani might just be a player that you need on your radar.
Daniel Maldini (Serie A Royalty DNA) – The Maldini name shines in Serie A once more. Best of all, Daniel is doing it without the help of AC Milan or his famous father. He’s got two goals over the past two games for Cagliari. Playing Udinese at the weekend, the run could extend even further.
Leonardo Balerdi (Top Ball-Playing Defender) – It’s not easy to get into Roma’s first eleven at the moment. Balerdi’s struggling himself. However, the recent performance against Torino suggests that he’ll be bringing his expertise to the first team soon enough. it also means that you ought to think of him as a potential solution for your fantasy football squad.
