It’s all about the glitz of the trophies and medals for some of the people following competitions like the Europa League. And, it’s a similar buzz of winning prizes that drives fantasy football managers as well.

Things are heating up, and this is why your Europa League fantasy football team might need a helping hand.

Here are some players who, I hope, will improve your squad’s ranking and help you win prizes.

You should be rewarded for your troubles as well. Here’s the free UEL fantasy football contest in FootballCoin! Prizes are guaranteed for the top teams.

Are These the Players You Need for Europa League Fantasy Football for the Round of 16 Second Leg?

The biggest impediment to properly enjoying the UEL has been the sheer number of teams. Fortunately, this is over. Let’s focus on some proven winners first. I always say this when advising on fantasy football selections, as I have for nearly 9 years now on this site.

Braga was left stunned by Ferencvaros’ performance last week. But that spells trouble for the Hungarians this Wednesday. Horta, Victor and Zalazar are good attacking picks (especially since UEL fantasy football is playing FootballCoin on the Easy scoring system).

Aston Villa is likely out of Top 5 contention in the Premier League, judging by recent displays. Suddenly, winning the Europa League is a priority. Meanwhile, Lille is a good side with attackers who simply can’t score to save their lives.

Watkins, Rogers, and McGinn are must-picks for this one. Sancho deserves taking a risk at this time. And I like Martinez, who sounds like a great goalkeeper pick this time around. If the Argentinian keeps a clean sheet, Konsa, Cash, Torres should earn a lot of points.

Meanwhile,  and speaking of French club, Lille’s Niakhate, Tolisso and Endrick should be relatively good picks even if the French side fails to win here.

I’m a fan of FC Midtjylland, having visited the training ground last Summer. And I am a fan of their recruitment policy. This should mean that the Danes are favourites against struggling Nottingham Forest. But it’ll be a close game.

My suggested picks from the Danish side include former EPL player Billing, along with Bech Sorenson, Erlic and Castillo. And I like the determination of Minlenkovic, Murillo and Sangare.

Finally, AS Roma’s coming on the back of a defeat to play fellow Serie A side Bologna. This makes it a trickier affair. Pellegrini and Malen are making the best of their opportunities and deserve your attention. And, if you can afford it, Svilar is a good option.

But, I don’t expect the Roma keeper to keep a clean sheet here. Bernadeschi, Freuler, and Rowe shouldn’t be your priorities, of course, but deserve your attention as strong alternatives. Meanwhile, if fit, Casale is a great pick.

Finally, Betis Sevilla’s Antony is back in action in Europe. You know what to do!

The Players You Need to Avoid

Gibbs-White is a future world-class player. But he’s unable to show it in this Nottingham Forest side. I recommend not picking him this time. And I feel the exact same way by Igor Jesus.

Not convinced by Betis’ Hernandez or Fornals at the moment.

Finally, although I’m a fan, I can’t recommend Celta de Vigo’s Jutgla for this one. Iglesias and Aspas are fine, but rather expensive for this contest.
