It’s maddening how quickly things change in the EPL. One day, they’re screaming for you to get on the first plane to Saudi Arabia, and the next, they’re calling you the best player in the league.
That’s precisely what needs to be prepared for, namely, the next big changes. And they tend to come in thick and fast by Round 26 of the competition.

These Are the Players You Need for Premier League Fantasy Football for Round 26!
Comfort is your second greatest enemy in fantasy Premier League football. The first is getting too tired at this stage in the season to make changes to your team. Let’s catch up!
Any easy picks? Nearly, but not quite.
Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes is the player I referenced in my first paragraph. Yes, he’ll make a good pick in Round 26, but don’t expect West Ham to simply roll over into the Championship.
On paper, this looks like a good time to pick Mattheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, and even do it ahead of more famous PL forwards. Lammens looks likely to get an important clean sheet, judging by the way things are going.
And, while there is a risk that West Ham will get hammered (see what I did there?) and that’s going to affect the points tally, Konstantinos Mavroponos, Mateus Fernandes, and Tomas Soucek are fine, affordable picks.
Let me also point your attention toward Villa’s game against Brighton. One team can still reach the podium, while the other looks in trouble. While not very exciting recently, Morgan Rogers can still do a job. Douglas Luiz and Amadou Onana are fine picks.
Sancho and Konsa carry a risk, but can be picked. Meanwhile, Pascal Groß and Lewis Dunk are good back-up options.
The Affordable Alternatives and the Long-Shots
I don’t see Chelsea, necessarily, having an easy time against Leeds. And I don’t have much faith in a lot of the Blues contingent at the moment. Still, you could do worse than Marc Cucurella, Malo Gusto, Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro. And if you own a rich football club, all of these players are in the shop window, reliable sources say.
Manchester City has already proven fragile against Fulham. Still, Guardiola’s team should get the victory, and you know Erling Haaland is going to be involved somehow. Marc Guehi has been very good since joining. Personally, I’d take a risk on Samuel Chukwueze and Sander Berge if no other options were available.
Picking Liverpool players isn’t the sure-fire thing it used to be. Instead, possibly take a chance on Sunderland’s goalie Robin Roefs alongside defenders Nordi Mukiele and Dan Ballard.
Watching Forest take on Wolves is enough to make a grown man cry. But, lest we forget, it’s next season’s Premier League tickets we are talking about here. Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White, as well as Andre and Joao Gomes, should play a role in this one.
You know the drill about Arsenal. But do you know Mikel Arteta’s line-up? Stick to what looks certain and get Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi if you can.
The Players You Need to Avoid in Round 26
I’m a big fan of Cole Palmer, as, apparently, so is the young son of the U.S. president. Who knew middling London clubs were so big in the States? Still, the playmaker isn’t quite at his best following his recent injury. Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, both possibly on their way out from the club, don’t seem to be the ideal picks either.
It’s nice to see Lorenzo Lucca get an opportunity in the EPL, but I’m not sure he’s quite fantasy team material just yet, even though if he doesn’t score against Wolves, who’s he going to do it against?
Arsenal’s squad depth is becoming evident. However, that means choosing Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, or Gabriel Jesus may involve unnecessary risk.
Liverpool isn’t as poor as everyone seems to think. However, Arne Slot’s players, which once formed the basis of any self-respecting fantasy football team, can no longer be trusted. I think that Mohamed Salah, Alex Mac Allister or Virgil van Dijk are all great players. But I see better, more affordable options ahead of Round 26.
