Manchester City striker was involved in a serious car crash earlier. The taxi cab that the player was traveling in, was involved in an accident. Footage of the car looking very damaged after hitting a lamppost have been making the rounds of the internet. The accident happened in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Aguero is thought to have been traveling away from a concert he had attended.
Even though the accident was said to have been very serious, Aguero walked away with only a few bruised ribs. It’s bad news for his team Manchester City. The striker has been in particularly good form this season, scoring seven goals in eight matches and helping the team lead the Premier League table. Aguero is only one goal away from an impressive personal record. He is about to beat the club’s all-time goalscoring record, held until now by Eric Brooks.
Manager Pep Guardiola will need to adapt his plans for the important game this weekend against current EPL champions, Chelsea. The manager is expected to speak to the press later today and perhaps, he will provide more details about the accident.
