Osasuna will introduce a new set of away kit in their game at the Camp Nou. The decision is not so much made out of design concerns, but rather because of complaints that the teams’ kits were too similar.
Osasuna sit bottom of the table as they meet current leaders Barcelona at the Camp Nou. The game on Wednesday will also see the away side debut a new playing kit, seemingly designed specifically for this encounter.
Television broadcasters are said to have complained about the similarities between the kits of the two teams. Seeing as how Barcelona is playing at home, the away side was asked to change the design of their current playing kits.
Osasuna’s official web site announced the team would play in orange jerseys specially designed for this game. The team’s current jersey colors are red when playing at home and blue with red trim when playing away. These colors were considered too similar to that of their opponents. Broadcasters feared that when televised, the audience would have a difficult time telling the teams apart.

Osasuna’s jersey will bear the slogan “#OsasunaNuncaSeRinde“ which translates into English as “Osasuna never surrenders“. Manager Petar Vasiljevic will hope his players are inspired by the message. The team currently sits in last place in La Liga, seven points away from safety of relegation.
Meanwhile, Barcelona is expected to meet the game with good morale following their victory against Real Madrid. The two teams are currently tied for first place. Real does have a game in hand, but Barcelona will look to take advantage of any misstep from their rivals. Generally, it would seem that Real will have the more difficult last games in this campaign. Furthermore, Real is still involved in the Champions League adding to the players’ fatigue. Barcelona will hope to take advantage of this and win their remaining games.
