With GW2 finalized for the majority of teams, it’s time that we look at the most important players in the Premier League debut round. Each of these players can surely offer you an edge going into GW3 and across the season.

Sadio Mane

Sadio Mane remains cool under pressure as ever, and capable of carrying Liverpool in big games. While his performance against Leeds in GW1 was notable, it was his two goals and MOTM showing against title-chasers Chelsea that get him on our list.

Do we recommend him? Yes, Sadio Mane can improve your fantasy football draft across the season.

Magalhaes Gabriel

Gabriel has been nothing short of a revelation during GW1 and GW2 for Arsenal. The 22-year-old Brazilian already looks on course to offer the defensive strength so often missing for the Gunners in years prior. Gabriel scored the third goal for Arsenal in their victory against Fulham and showed great passing accuracy in their victory against West Ham in GW2.

While still early, Magalhaes Gabriel could be one of the biggest fantasy Premier League bargains of the 2020/21 season.

Timothy Castagne

Timothy Castagne is yet another example of football scouting done right by Leicester City. The Foxes found themselves in need of a right-back this summer and opted for Atalanta’s talented player. It’s taking little time for the Italian to announce himself to the EPL public. He has played in both GW1 and GW2, scoring a goal and providing an assist. His debut performance, especially, showed Castagne to be confident both on the ball and in the air.

We’ve yet to make up our mind about Castagne, but if he continues in this way, he could be one of the best bargain defenders of the fantasy Premier League season.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah entered the new season, seemingly determined to score goals and re-announce himself as one of the Premier League’s biggest stars. On opening day, against Leeds, Salah scored a hat-trick. His performances remained to the same high standard against rivals Chelsea, where he registered four shots on goal and was unlucky not to score.

Salah is the kind of player that can improve your fantasy draft whenever he is fit.
