The new season of the Premier League is beginning to shape up nicely. Gameweek 2 brought confirmation of the greatness of many familiar faces, and a few leftfield picks to even things out. Here are the top players, represented by NFTs and free player cards, in FootballCoin’s EPL.

Hugo Lloris and Trent Alexander-Arnold making a comeback

Last season didn’t exactly occur as planned for a few fantasy football favorites. With a change in management, Tottenham looks to be getting back on track. They’ve won their first two fixtures. Hugo Lloris is the goalkeeper of Gameweek 2, managing to keep a clean sheet against Wolves.

Allison, Kostas Tsimkas, and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also among the week’s best, proving that a revitalized Liverpool can, once again challenge for the title. Duffy Shane makes an appearance in our Team of the Week. However, it’s Reece James who impressed me the most. Chelsea’s left-back scored once, provided an assist, and was a constant threat against an unimaginative and weak Arsenal.

Michail Antonio breaking records at West Ham

West Ham United is showing critics that they are not merely a one-season wonder. Their 4-1 victory over Leicester City was nothing short of sensational. Michail Antonio‘s brace helped him 53 points in FootballCoin and the record of the Hammers’ greatest ever scorer Premier League scorer. He’s now managed 49 goals, beating Paolo Di Canio’s previous record.

Antonio’s teammate, Pablo Fornals, was also among the week’s top midfielders, along with the consistent John McGinn who maned 41 points. Sighs of relief could also be heard back in London. Dele Alli manages 46 points in FootballCoin as he drags his own career back on track.

The week’s best forward could be viewed back at Elland Road. Raphinha scored once, managed 43 points, and rewarded Marcelo Bielsa’s faith in him following a lackluster start to the season. Gabriel Jesus’ two assists for Manchester City, in their trampling of Norwich, helps the Brazilian to round up our ideal team.
