Fantasy Football Champions League remains the most exciting competition for fantasy managers in 2023.

As Europe’s top clubs advance toward their goal of securing the big trophy, we look at the choices that could’ve made you successful in FootballCoin contests.

Fantasy football stars of the Semi-Finals

Real Madrid vs. Manchester City promised one of the most even-matched games in the recent history of UCL semi-finals. The first leg ended all square. However, many of the best-noted fantasy football stars have performed well.

Kevin de Bruyne scored an excellent goal and dominate the midfield area throughout. The Belgium maestro earned 45.1 points, was the MVP of the game. His goal keeps the Mancunians in the running.

A strong display from Manchester City’s defenders means that Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji would’ve handed managers nearly 118 points.

Meanwhile, Vinicius Jr. earned 35.9 points after his marvelous goal, while Toni Kroos and Luka Modric also put in characteristically good performances.

Striker Erling Haaland will have disappointed some of his numerous fans. The Norwegian only managed 19.2 points on the night.

AC Milan vs. Inter predictions

The second Semi-Final pits the two Milanese giants together, in a match where the team’s biggest stars are expected to perform.

Davide Calabria did excellently against David Osimhen during the Quarter-Finals. The defender will have his work cut out for him against Inter’s Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku.

Meanwhile, Inter’s defensive midfielder Nicolo Barella has contributed world-class performances throughout the campaign. Alongside Croatian midfielder, Marcelo Brozovic, he’ll be looking to bring the kind of flair that can overpower Mike Maignan’s defense.

Predictable Quarter-Final Knockout stages

The Quarter-Final knockout stages weren’t boring. No, there were great goals and excellent tactical duels. The QF, however, had predictable winners. Real Madrid, Manchester City, Inter, and AC Milan breezed their way into the semi-finals.

Which players would’ve brought you the most points in fantasy football? Not many surprises here, either.

Erling Haaland grabbed two assists and a goal across the two legs. This meant that he earned a combined 55 points. The Norwegian striker remains a consistent performer for all fantasy football squads.

FootballCoin managers still have alternatives for the SF stage besides Erling Haaland.

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr. both scored highly. Rodrygo was also a star performer and should be picked, provided he starts against Manchester City.

Look also for Rafael Leao, who managed 45 points across the two leagues. He’ll prove invaluable in the Champions League Milan derby.

Consistency is also how to describe the performances of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Eduardo Cammavinga. Few midfielders are safer choices.

Davide Calabria provided the most surprising performance of any defender. He managed nearly 70 points across the two legs, leaving Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia struggling to cope.

Obvious and underrated picks for the Champions League fantasy football Semi-Final

Fantasy football managers will need to strategize carefully for the semi-final stage. There are few surprises left that they can spring on their rivals.

Real Madrid’s main cast has performed excellently. It feels like we saw it before last season. Kroos, Courtois, Alaba, Modric and Benzema should all perform well against Guardiola’s City. Cammavinga, Valverde and Rodrygo can also be considered.

Meanwhile, this will be a hard exam for Erling Haaland, the player of the moment. While he’s square against defenders like Eder Militao or Jordi Alba, I can see the Norwegian stamping his authority on the game.

Meanwhile, Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva will consistently be in the game’s focus as Pep Guardiola’s players will attempt to dictate the game’s tempo.

If you’re looking for underrated picks, consider AC Milan’s captain Simon Kjaer. What he lacks in skill or strength, he more than makes up in determination and leadership. Kjaer performed excellently against fellow Serie A side Napoli in the Quarter-Finals.

And, with so many great midfielders from which to choose, you may be forgiven for focusing on City and Real players. However, Marcelo Brozovic remains one of the most dependable playmakers in European football. The Croatian’s passing can determine the fate of the tie against AC Milan.
