europa league fantasy football who to pick round 8 UEL tips and tricks

By Eduard Bănulescu

There’s nothing better than watching a football giant get knocked out of the Europa League when promises had been made that they’d win the UCL instead? But that’s just what we have in store ahead of Round 8 of the UEL group stage. Yeye!

And, this is precisely what we need to prepare our Europa League fantasy football for. Just what players are going to help you win prizes before the door to the group stage of the competition slams shut? I’ve got a few in mind, along with players that I should you avoid.

Are These the Players You Need for Europa League Fantasy Football for Round 8?

As always, my idea is to look for obvious winners. Top teams like Rangers and Feyernoord have failed consistently. Meanwhile, their opponents have everything to play for tonight.

Porto has to live up to the incredible performance put in by Benfica last night. Victory is needed to help the Portuguese side go through. Diogo Costa is a good fit for the goalkeeper position. Sainz and Veiga have done brilliantly in midfield throughout this European campaign. And, Aghehowa has proven he can score. All of these cards are free in FootballCoin. Meanwhile, I like Raskin from the Scottish team.

Aston Villa is already an inch from the play-off phase. Still, a good display against RB Salzburg is expected. Onana, Mings, Lindelof, and Guessand are all likely to start and will make good picks.

And, while Lyon’s also comfortable in the top spot, this doesn’t mean that Tagliafico, Karabec or Tolisso should be off your radar as the French side takes on Greece’s PAOK.

What About Just Taking a Risk?

Once in a while, risks do pay off. There are a few spots still up for debate. And, the team’s fighting for it, might provide the players that will give your fantasy football team the edge.

FCSB needs a victory plus a miracle against Fenerbahçe, who will also be desperate for three points. Players like Cisotti, Radunovic, but especially Skriniar, Semedo, Fred and En-Nesyri, provided you can afford their cards, should make for good picks.

I’d focus my viewing on Red Belgrade vs. Celta de Vigo, if possible. Elsnik, Tiknizyan, as well as Swedeborg, Starfelt, and Aspas (remember him?) have done well throughout the campaign.

Should You Avoid These UEL Players in Round 8?

Aston Villa’s Sancho will likely get a chance, but that doesn’t mean you should soften just yet. There are better options out there.

I’m excited by this Lille side. But, for the game against Freiburg, there might be better options than Giroud and Haraldsson.

Finally, it must be a thrill for Notthinham Forest supporters to see their team back in European competitions. But recent form doesn’t suggest Ferencvaros is a team that is easy to defeat tonight. Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Yates and Ndoye are undoubtedly stars. However, I think that there are better options available.
