Achraf Hakimi

There’s no denying Achraf Hakimi‘s already established quality as a Bundesliga player. Similarly, there’s no denying that his development has been greatly aided by being part of a team, Borussia Dortmund, that regularly features U21 internationals.

The Moroccan export is equally adapted to play as a wing-back or winger on the left side of the pitch, as on the right. Technically, a Real Madrid player out on loan, Hakimi offers a lot to Dortmund’s style of play. This season he has managed 10 assists, scored 3 times, and greatly enlarged his passing and ball control.

Hakimi is already a Champions League winner, and one of the most promising youth players in the world.

Tyler Adams

Tyler Adams is part of an influx of North American players making big waves in Europe. Adams was born in New York, getting his start for the local Red Bull endorsed football team. This lead to a transfer to RB Leipzig, part of the same budding football brand, in 2019.

Under Julian Nagelsmann, Adams is flourishing. The player is usually asked to play as a right defender or as a defensive midfielder on most occasions. Known as a fierce tackler, the 21-year-old is nonetheless capable of spearheading attacks from the back, as well as taking powerful shots on goal.

Adams has now graduated from the U21 USA squad to the seniors. He is an important player for one of the most highly talked about teams in Europe and even greater things seem to lie ahead.

Kai Havertz

Few Bundesliga players seem more naturally gifted to the game of football that Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz. By 20 years of age, the skilled midfielder has already been part of the Germany U21 squad, has scored for the senior side, has been chosen for the Bundesliga Team of the Year, and has garnered the attention of some of the world’s biggest clubs.

Havertz’s greatest strength, for now, is his passing ability which he makes great use of in attacking play. Capable of terrific ball retention, Havertz is evenly capable of playing as inside forward, an attacking midfielder, or in a more attacking role.

There are few who have not taken notice of Kai Havertz. In fact, he is likely the player who is already the most established name of anyone on the list. But, that’s of no surprise. With his natural abilities, the sky is the limit.
