⚡ Gameweek 6 Deadline Alert
- GW1 Deadline: Friday, 9th of October, 21:45
- Roster Constraint: 11 Starters + 5 Substitutes
- Target Contest: Free Tour Ligue 1 🇫🇷- R6 ($0 cost, 1.800 XFC rewards)
If you want to be cynical about it, Ligue 1 is the competition that gives its richer European neighbours its best players and lives off of the money it makes on transfers.
Now, if you want to be realistic, this also means that there is plenty of talent waiting to be spotted for fantasy football contests.
I’m here to help you find it using my 10 years of experience writing fantasy football advice columns.
But you need a real challenge! I think that you’re going to find it in FootballCoin‘s daily fantasy football event. Play, win, earn real prizes!
My GW6 Fantasy Squad Reveal
And I’m playing a 5-4-1 formation this time.
| Position | Player Name | Club | Card Tier | Why Included for GW1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GK | Dominik Greif | Lyon | 2★ – Free w/ lease | It’s a good season for Greif, who’ll have the kind of work that he can handle against Lens |
| DEF 1 | Diego Coppola | Paris FC | 2★ – Free w/ lease | He’s just 22, and he might just be the best Italian defender right now |
| DEF 2 | Romain Perraud | Lille | 2★ – Free w/ lease | Might deserve better. He certainly has the stats to prove that he does |
| DEF 3 | Nuno Mendes | PSG | 4★ | Top class, consistent performer |
| DEF 4 | Hamari Traore | Paris FC | 2★ – Free w/ lease | This could well be Traore’s final season in Ligue 1. He’s making the best of it |
| DEF 5 | Marquinhos | PSG | 5★ | Hasn’t lost his touch. Hasn’t lost his place in the team. Still dominating |
| MID 1 | Pavel Sulc | Lyon | 1★ – Free | I encouraged you to pick him early on. And did I fail you? Of course not! |
| MID 2 | Corentin Tolisso | Lyon | 3★ | Might not last forever. But, at the moment, Tolisso is playing the best football of his career |
| MID 3 | Desire Doue | PSG | 3★ | There are moments of seeing Doue play when you wonder if there’s anyone better in the whole world |
| MID 4 | Lamine Camara | AS Monaco | 2★ – Free w/ lease | Monaco cut off the excess fat, let players like Camara do their thing, and results have followed |
| FW | Folarin Balogun | AS Monaco | 2★ – Free w/ lease | Should be back in the side, and will have some of the most experienced midfielders to play support |
| AM | Karim Benzema | Retired AM | 5★ | A 5* Assistant Manager is a must-have |
3 Must-Have “Sleeper Picks” for GW6
- Jeffrey de Lange (Upstart Shotstopper) – You see a problem; OM saw an opportunity. De Lange hadn’t made many Ligue 1 stars before this season. He’s at the top of his game, and he’s a very budget-friendly pick as well
- Tiago Santos (Consistent Defensive Performer) – Lille’s overperforming, and they face Le Havre in GW6. Everything, including recent performances, points to Santos having a good game here
- Tyler Morton (Affordable Midfielder) – Where’s this Lyon side going to stop? Can they win the title outright? This Liverpool academy graduate certainly is putting in the kind of performances that would give Lyon fans hope.
