Champions League fantasy football remains the place where fantasy managers are required to make the most difficult kind of choices. How can one settle on just one or two strikers out of all the proven goal scorers in the competition? How can just three or four midfielders be identified to bring the team points?
Those are tough questions, but I’m here to help. Using a mix of stats and plain old eye tests, here are the players who, in Round 4 of the UCL, should greatly improve your team’s fortunes.
Looking to earn real money while creating a UCL fantasy football team. Couldn’t be any easier!
FootballCoin’s contests have been going strong for a year. They’re free. They provided the top managers with prizes daily. And if you use the invite the fantasy football, you’re in the race for those prizes.
Are These the Players You Need for Champions League Fantasy Football for Round 4?
What are we looking for? Value, and most importantly, players who should score an above-average number of points. What’s the challenge? Among other things, choosing a starting eleven out of the 24 teams playing.
How do they score points? In FootballCoin, the scoring system takes into account a large number of variables. But, of course, goals, assists and clean sheets will always help.
Let’s focus here!
Start out with the lambs thrown to the lions, I always say! Slavia Prague are a fine side. Still, they should lose to Arsenal who is prepping for a glorious season.
David Raya may well keep a clean sheet, but won’t have much defending to do. Get Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ben White, as they’re likely to be part of Mikel Arteta‘s rotation. Declan Rice is always good if you can afford his card. Leandro Trossard should start and is in form.
PSV was impressive against Napoli in a momentous 6-2 win. Peter Bosz‘s team will need a victory against Olympiacos in Greece. Ismael Saibari, Dennis Man and Guus Til were great the last time around. Besides, in FootballCoin, they’re rated 1* and 2*, and this is affordable. They’re good picks, I think.
I like this (nearly) revived Juventus side against Sporting. Midfielders Manuel Locatelli, Teun Koopmeiners and Filip Kostic can dominate the show.
What about the big derbies?
They’re more even affairs, of course. Real Madrid could have the upper hand against Liverpool at Anfield, but that’s always hard to predict. Data does suggest, however, that Arda Guller and Jude Bellingham should do well in this one. I also like Ryan Gravenberch and Dominic Szoboszlai. And, Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe should get their shots on target.
I’ve no doubt that an in-form Paris Saint-Germain should have little problems disposing of Bayern Munchen. But this isn’t that kind of PSG. Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, and Vitinha, as always, though, are good picks.
Finally, I’ve a lot of confidence in this group of Internazionale players as Cristian Chivu welcomes Kairat. And while the Kazakh’s arrival at the UCL is something of a fairytale, this is the kind of game that Inter should be winning comfortably.
Yann Sommer should keep a clean sheet. This should also help Yann Bisseck, Manuel Akanji, Carlos Augusto and Denzel Dumfries to rack up points. Great picks!
But who’s going to start up front? Most likely, Lautaro Martinez will want to add to beef up his goalscoring tally. And Pio Esposito could get a chance to start. Both are worth keeping an eye on.
Should You Avoid These UCL Players in Round 4?
Liverpool’s faced great defensive issues this season, especially on the flanks. Regardless of the combination, I’m not very confident. Connor Bradley and Andy Robertson might play. But while the latter has always been sensational in fantasy football, he’ll find it hard to match Real’s pacey wingers.
There are also rumours about Trent-Alexander Arnold returning to the fold against his former side. Even if this is confirmed, Arnold’s speed with tracking back might be a weakness here.
Not a fan of this Bayern side, regardless of recent results. Defeating Bayer Leverkusen hardly seems like a great achievement these days.
Meanwhile, there are question marks over the fitness of Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, and Bradley Barcola. Together, they might make up the greatest attacking line in UCL, but they need game time to get back to the heights of last season.
Notable absences from today and tomorrow’s series of games include: Kevin De Bruyne, Valentino Livramento, Daniel Carvajal, Antonio Rüdiger, Zeno Debast, Martin Odegaard, Pedri and Gavi.
There are also players who might be rested due to recent physical problems, which include Viktor Gyoekeres, Gabriel Martinelli, Marten de Roon, Can Uzun, Ilkay Gundogan, Marcus Thuram, Timothy Weah, Alexander Isak, Amine Gouiri, or Billy Gilmour.
You’ll want to keep an eye on the suspended players as well. These are Kenneth Taylor, Davinson Sanchez, Robert Andrich, Emerson, Santiago Hezze, Ilya Zabarnyi, and Joao Correia.
