Fantasy Football Ligue 1 is lining up contests thick and fast. With so much football and excitement available, it’s easy to forget what matters – creating a fantasy football team that can win you real prizes.
Who should you pick ahead of Round 11 from the French top tier? Who are the top stars who are surviving on name alone and are best to be avoided?
I have a few suggestions that should improve your team selection right away. Once you’re done, remember that you can use however many of these picks in the free Ligue 1 fantasy football contests in FootballCoin.
Are These the Players You Need for Fantasy Football in the Ligue 1 for Round 11?
Unpredictable, isn’t it? Who’d have believed that Ligue 1’s 2025/26 season would offer such a close contest? PSG is leading but losing points. De Zerbi’s Marseille can play brilliantly, but is inconsistent. Monaco’s still to field some of its biggest stars. And Strasbourg looks likely to be this campaign’s big surprise.
So, who looks like a good fantasy football pick for Round 11?
PSG will look to avenge recent embarrassments this weekend. Still, OGC Nice has proven to be one of the serious, hard-to-defeat teams in Ligue 1.
Achraf Hakimi should be back and should be picked. Sam goes for Maquinhos and Willian Pacho. Some reservations linger over the likes of Vitinha and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia. But get them if you can afford them.
Meanwhile, Nice’s goalie Yehvann Diouf has had a great campaign, as has wide central defender Kojo Peprah Oppong. Good choices!
Monaco takes on the much-hyped, but generally disappointing, Paris FC. Ansu Fati should be back in the starting line-up and should be on your team.
Same goes for Folarin Balogun. Still, Kassoum Outtara is the star of this line-up. And, Aleksandr Golovin had a brilliant match last week around which means you should give both of them some attention.
What about Marseille? While Olympique is a team that I’m fascinated with, Auxerre is a team capable of causing a shock result here. Perhaps reconsider picking Mason Greenwood and Igor Paixao, as well as the other attacking players, for this one. Still, Emille Hojberg and Matt O’Reilly always seem to be able to gather up points.
Finally, Lyon has surprisingly bounced back quicker than expected from the difficulties it had incurred at the end of last season. Brest is an evenly matched opponent. Moussa Niakhate, Mata Clinton, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are in great form.
Should You Avoid These Ligue 1 Players in Round 11?
I’ve hinted at some of the stars best avoided previously. But, once more, let me mention Vitinha, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, Warren Zaire-Emery and Goncalo Ramos of the champion side.
Meanwhile, Mason Greenwood, Pierre Aubameyang and Igor Paixao could run into similar problems. And, no, Paul Pogba isn’t expected to start this match for AS Monaco!
There are also injuries to consider. Some of the players to cross off your list include Ethan Mbappe, Amine Gouiri (again), Jonathan Clauss, and Jonathan Ikone.
