Fantasy Football Ligue 1 is awfully exciting in the 2025/2026, and there’s just no way around it. PSG has not been bullying the opposition just yet, and a couple more clubs look like genuine title candidates. Meanwhile, there aren’t any poor teams despite the fact that two of them will need to be relegated come the Summer.
But who to pick? What stars should focus on during this injury crisis that has affected some of the French teams?
To help you with your Ligue 1 fantasy football team ahead of week 7, here are the players who should improve your selection.
Remember that Ligue 1 fantasy football should be free and provide prizes, not just fun. That’s what FootballCoin does anyway, and you can use this fantasy football contest link to join up!
Are These the Players You Need for Fantasy Football in the Ligue 1 for Round 7?
Six of the players who won Paris Saint-Germain the Champions League final merely months ago were missing from their game against FC Barcelona in mid-week.
Clearly, this will have an effect on Luis Enrique’s selection for the relatively tricky visit up North to Lille. Which of the champions’ players are still worth picking for your fantasy football team?
There’s always room for Achraf Hakimi, of course. Lucas Hernandez has been handling his duties on the opposite flank well enough. And, there might even be time to trust Goncalo Ramos once again, and give youngster Senny Mayulu a shot.
Meanwhile, Lille’s goalie Arnaud Borat might end up looking good. Midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi is in fine form. And, even old-man Olivier Giroud could challenge the Parisians while using his considerable experience. (Note that his comment against former French national teammate Ousmane Dembele might not have been taken lightly by the Parisians.)
And if you want to see more of Mbappe, there’s a good chance that his very talented brother, Ethan, will get some playing time toward the end of this game.
Metz is a team impressively holding onto Ligue 1 football, but they’ll struggle to get anything against this Olympique Marseille side. While OM is on a three-match winning run, this is the most unpredictable of any of the top sides in Europe.
What I do know is that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang still has legs, even if he’ll probably end up coming off the bench. Emile Hojbjerg‘s still a top defensive midfielder, and Matt O’Riley has been learning most of his tricks. And, while some won’t be happy with this, Mason Greenwood can’t stop scoring. Tim Weah could also be a good choice for your team’s attack.
AS Monaco might just be the best team in Ligue 1 at the moment. A highly mature, balanced side, Monaco grabbed a draw against Manchester City in the mid-week, and should have enough to see off the challenge of OGC Nice, an impressive-looking team across recent iterations of Ligue 1.
Eric Dier is turning into the team’s leader. He’s a good pick. Mamadou Coulibaly and Jordan Teze could also deserve a place on your team.
Should You Avoid These Ligue 1 Players in Round 7?
The main factors, this week, for looking the other way on a player are the likelihood that they’ll be injured or rested.
PSG’s injury list includes Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele, along with nominees Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Similarly, OM’s Faris Moumbagna is unlikely to play, as is Tanguy Ndombele of OGC Nice. And is Paul Pogba ready to return to football? Probably not just yet.
Meanwhile, Lens’s Jonathan Gradit is serving a suspension, as is Angers’s Yassin Belkhdim, and AS Monaco’s Thilo Kehrer.
