Harry Kane has enjoyed brilliant back to back seasons and manager Mauricio Pochettino believes the striker would be a good choice for England’s national team captaincy. The forward has not enjoyed the greatest start of the season for Spurs and the team has only four points out of the available nine, but things are likely to improve for both the player and club. Now that Wayne Rooney has announced his plans to retire from England’s national squad, the team will be in desperate need of a new leader. If Kane is able to inspire his team as much as he has thus far, he will indeed become the top contenders to wear the armband for his country.
