Fantasy Football Ligue 1 is back this weekend with plenty of questions to ask of you. But you’re in good company! Numerous international managers will also be keeping an eye on things and hoping to improve their selection by picking players from the French league.
But how do you make sense of all this talent that abounds here? Who are the players that will improve your fantasy football side, and the ones that you should definitely avoid?
I’ve tentative answers to these questions and think that using them may just improve your team. I suggest you go for it.
And since, of course, you’ll want to use your fantasy football knowledge to improve your chances of winning, remember that the Ligue 1 fantasy football contest in FootballCoin is free and provides real, glorious prizes.
Are These the Players You Need for Fantasy Football in the Ligue 1 for Round 8?
You can never tell with this Olympique Marseille side! Roberto de Zerbi’s team seems designed to go from the brink to the top and back again. What will the team do against Le Havre? Likely to win comfortably. But who’s to say?
If you’re willing to take a risk, this team has plenty of attackers worth considering. Greenwood, Aubamayang, and Weah are in fine form. Paixao is a young upstart worth keeping tabs on. Meanwhile, the Danish duo of Hojbjerg (who may or may not play) and O’Riley is hard as nails and rarely makes mistakes. Finally, bank on Rulli to keep a clean sheet here.
What about Paris Saint-Germain? The champions are still readjusting to all the success of last season. Still, the team should very much take advantage of playing at home and of, likely, having Kavarathelia fit and available.
Beyond the regular stars, consider Mbaye and Zaire-Emery for selection, if you still need some attacking players. PSG’s Chevalier still looks shaky, but might get a clean sheet out of this one. Meanwhile, Zabarnyi is ok, but nothing to write home about, and Pancho is a dependable defender.
Nice vs. Lyon is quite the derby. Both teams have excellently assembled squads. As always, I’m impressed with Tagliafico and, on the right flank, Maitland-Niles. Those are great picks!
At the same time, it’s the work rate displayed by Vanhoutte and Boudaoui which makes OG Nice’s 3-4-2-1 formation make sense.
Don’t forget about this ambitious AS Monaco side. The team’s capable of claiming a narrow victory away to Angers. Experienced players like Dier and Minamino may come in handy. And, if you can afford it, take a chance on Fati, who has been relaunching his career in convincing fashion. He has scored five goals in his first three appearances for AS Monaco.
Should You Avoid These Ligue 1 Players in Round 8?
This is a week where the big stars who have disappointed in recent weeks and who also got to travel for international football should be avoided.
Meanwhile, expensive picks like PSG’s Ramos or Lille’s Giroud should all have more affordable options available.
Remember that Monaco’s Vanderson, Zakaria, or Golovin are still out through injury. The same goes for PSG’s Mayulu, Barcola, Joao Neves and Dembele.
And, Nice’s Abdi, Angers’ Belkhdim, Lens’ Ganiou are serving out suspensions.
