Fantasy Football Ligue 1- Who to Pick for Round 6

By Eduard Bănulescu

Fantasy Football Ligue 1 is not what you expect. At least, not season. Certainly, no since Paris Saint-Germain, Europe’s top side, lost to Olympique Marseille, making fans wonder if we might just be in for a major upset in the French league for a change.

The football’s certainly good in this 2025/2026 edition, but what does that mean for you? Picking an ideal fantasy football side can be confusing.

Give it a try anyway. I’m here to help guide you with a few suggestions that are nearly sure-fire ways to make sure you earn points.

And where should you use this knowledge? Of course, in the free game of FootballCoin, where players are rewarded with prizes. Sign up for the Ligue 1 contest right here.

Are These the Players You Need for Fantasy Football in the Ligue 1 for Round 6?

Marseille did it. Roberto de Zerbi‘s team proved that the mighty PSG could be beaten. But what’s next for OM? Possibly a loss as they take on the unpredictable and feisty Strasbourg. What does that mean for your fantasy football draft?

Well, taking a chance on strikers Tim Weah and Mason Greenwood may still be a good idea. Choosing OM defenders, like Nayef AguerdorBenjamin Pavard could be a bit of a risk.

On the other hand, Racing Strasbourg’s Ismael Doukoure and Kendry Paez look like great picks for fantasy football.

What about PSG then? It’s near unheard of for Luis Enrique’s team to lose two on the bounce. Auxerre seems outmatched for Round 6’s fixture. That means that Vitinha and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are worth picking. On the other hand, look out for players who are missing due to injuries. Lucas Chevalier is likely to keep a clean sheet.

AS Monaco is flying high and hasn’t even got many of its stars playing. Expect an easy win against Lorient. Folarin Balogun, Takumi Minamino and Thilo Kehrer are must-have picks.

Any off-the-radar picks worth considering? Yes, as a matter of fact, I have a few suggestions. Lens’ Robin Risser is a fantastic goalkeeper pick. Brest’s Joris Chotard and Ilan Kebbal of Paris FC are excellent, free picks for the midfield position. And if you’re looking for a similarly-priced attacker, Ludovic Ajorque and Gauthier Hein could be just what you need.

Should You Avoid These Ligue 1 Players in Round 6?

It’s likely that Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola will be sidelined through injury. Don’t risk picking them for Ligue 1 fantasy football action.

Meanwhile, OM’s Geoffrey Kondogbia, Monaco’s Vanderson and Paul Pogba, or Rennes’ Valentine Rongier are most likely out through injury. Save yourself the heartache of finding out that they’re not playing and choose the safe bet of not picking them.

Fredrik Oppegaard, Darlin Yongwa, Tyler Morton or Otavio are suspended. And players like Mohamed Abdelmonem, Saidou Sow, or Lukas Hradecky are most certainly not playing due to lengthier injury spells.
