Are These the Players You Need for Fantasy Football in the Ligue 1 for Round 27?
Let’s start with the most logical picks first.
Paris Saint-Germain had their last weekend’s Ligue 1 game postponed and, technically, an easy second leg UCL fixture against Chelsea. Besides the team is almost without injuries at the time of writing, sans Ruiz.
This should mean that Hakimi and, especially, Pacho are worth picking, but not any of the other defenders.
Kvarartskhelia, Barcola and either Doue or Dembele could have the time of their lives against OGC Nice. Then, there’s also Vitinha. All of these are great picks if you can afford them.
However, if you’re going for budget options, there are a few Lens players that should be on your radar. The home fixture against Angers makes me consider Thauvin and Edouard as excellent attacking alternatives for PSG’s stars. I also like Celik, Sarr, and Sangare.
Lyon playing AS Monaco is the weekend derby. And I think that Tolisso and Endrick are excellent midfield options for your fantasy football team, as is Balogun. I’ve also been impressed with Teze and Kehrer across the campaign. Great picks!
There’s going to be plenty of attention given to Marseille playing Lille. Both teams are Champions League contenders. Both teams have been uneven.
However, OM’s stars Pavard, Hojbjerg and Greenwood have done a lot to rescue this season. Paixao is always a safe pick. Speaking of safe picks, Ngoy and Haraldsson have rarely disappointed.
Should You Avoid These Ligue 1 Players in Round 27?
I don’t have much confidence in PSG’s goalies, Safanov especially. The same goes for Zabarnyi. And, even Zairre-Emery has been poor recently. There are better options available.
Lens is a really good team, but I am not convinced by goalie Risser, who is a little predisposed to making errors at vital times.
Meunier is a bit of a risk. The Belgian full-back feels like a slightly too expensive pick at this very moment. There are better options out there.
