Fantasy Football Premier League is finally returning after what must have felt like one of the longest, most exhausting international breaks in years. Well, we had fantasy football contests last week; thankfully, we’re back to having EPL fantasy football contests this weekend.
But are the big boys still showing up? Are the top teams still in it to win it, and the poorer teams destined to be disappointed?
If you’ve got no way of telling, let me help you out. Let me make it easy for you. These are some of the players that you need for Round 12 and the ones you should avoid.
Yes, yes, there are still daily prizes at stake when you enter the free FootballCoin contest! Nothing’s changed! Get your team ready!
These Are the Players You Need for Premier League Fantasy Football for Round 12!
Burnley opens up the weekend games by taking on Chelsea. While it’s hard to predict, the fact that Chelsea should have Liam Delap and Alejandro Garnacho back should seal this one. I think Moises Caicedo and Reece James should make good picks.
Gunners rejoice! Arsenal finally looks like a boring team that can squeeze out a victory every week. Tottenham, on the other hand, occasionally play exciting football, but rarely creates meaningful opportunities to score.
Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka all look like good choices for your fantasy football team. Mikel Merino, Leandro Trossard and Eberechi Eze are also in good form, but it depends on whether they play.
The final score may affect the number of points the Spurs defenders get, but still, Micky van der Ven and Cristian Romero are worthy of consideration if you can afford their cards. I’m a big fan of Mohammed Kudus‘s dribbling, but I’m on the fence about picking him.
Liverpool could extend its run of bad form against a Nottingham Forest that has returned to basics. Ryan Gravenberch should see a lot of action. Elsewhere, I like Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White and Dan Ndoye for this one.
Bournemouth looks good against West Ham and appears capable of scoring goals. Antoine Semenyo, in what could turn out to be one of his last performances in front of fans of The Cherries, is an ideal pick this week. Note that his card is free in FootballCoin.
Does Newcastle have a prayer against Manchester City? I’d like to think so. That’d make it more interesting, of course. But I am not confident. If you still have room for attackers, Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku are hard to ignore for this one.
The Players You Need to Avoid in Round 12!
I’m still worried about picking Liverpool players just yet. Whether in the EPL, like Mohamed Salah and Ibrahim Konate, or at the international level, like Dominic Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez, the Reds’ players are on a losing streak.
Meanwhile, players like Kieran Trippier, Nick Woltemade and Bruno Guimaraes sound like great ideas for your fantasy football team, until you actually get the chance to see Newcastle play.
If you’re looking to avoid last-minute squad changes, you might want to reconsider picking Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel, who might miss Arsenal’s next couple of games.
The same can be said about Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa, Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, or Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesko.
Meanwhile, I’m certain you shouldn’t pick Lucas Paqueta, Emmanuel Agbadou, Dan Burn, Mateo Kovacic, and Sasa Lukic, who will be suspended.
