In the FootballCoin economy, there are two major types of football player cards, based on player rank.

Free player cards

These are player cards generated for football players with a lower rank: 1 star and 2 stars.

These football cards are free, unlimited, and are not generated as digital tokens on the blockchain.

Free player cards can be used by any user, in an unlimited number of teams and competitions.
In the FootballCoin game, approximately 75% of all player cards are free.

These are cards generated for higher-ranked football players of 3 stars, 4 stars, and 5 stars.
These player cards have a value and can be traded by users (against XFC Coin) on the in-game market. The price is determined by supply and demand.

Player cards with a featured value are digital tokens issued in a limited and fixed amount on the blockchain. These cards can be used in the game only by users that have them in their game account.

Football players ranking

The football players ranking in the FootballCoin Economy is based on a complex algorithm that takes into account the following:

  • The real market value of the player (as listed by Transfermarkt);
  • The national and international notoriety of the said player;
  • The number of achievements and trophies accumulated in their career;
  • The player’s age.

The football player’s ranking may be upgraded in time based on an increase in market value, football achievements, or an increase in notoriety.
For example, if you purchase a player with a ranking of 3 stars and that player enjoys a period of great performances on the pitch, leading to an increase in market value and notoriety, his ranking will be upgraded in the transfer window. That player can even be then ranked as a 4 stars or 5 stars player.

A football player’s ranking can never be downgraded in the game!

If a player has reached a certain ranking in the game, this will never be downgraded, regardless of a decrease in player form or market value. He will always maintain the highest ranking he has held. For example, Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment has the highest in-game ranking of 5 stars.

Even if his form and market value were to suddenly decrease, he will always maintain the ranking he has earned.

Players that retire from professional football or change leagues (in that they are transferred to a league not featured in the FootballCoin game) will become Assistant Managers in the game!

As Assistant Managers they will retain the highest ranking they have earned as a player.

Initial value of player cards is determined in the FootballCoin economy based on an algorithm that takes into account the following:

  • Player ranking;
  • The player’s market value (as listed by Transfermarkt);
  • Player’s notoriety;
  • Player’s age;
  • The initial number of cards issued for the said player.

Taking into account the fact that the distribution of player cards is going to increase with time, in the regular transfer windows, youth player cards will be issued in a larger number than the ones for older players.

The total number of cards (tokens) issued for each player will vary between 250 – 1.000 cards per football player.

The distribution of the total number of cards issued for each football player will be divided in the following way:

20%

reserved for founders;

5%

reserved for partners;

5%

reserved for prizes in the game and in the community;

70%

progressively put on sale in the transfer windows.

The number of player cards released on sale in every transfer window will be strictly determined by the player’s ranking and the number of in-game users, in the following way:

Ranking of 5 stars maximum

2.5%

of the total number of users;

Ranking of 4 stars

5%

of the total number of users;

Ranking of 3 stars

10%

of the total number of users;

For example, if a player ranked 5 stars there have been 250 cards issued, they will be distributed progressively until the number of game users will reach 100.000. When the number of game users has surpassed 100.000 the card will become rarer than the initial value of 0.25%.

The values obtained through selling player cards will be used in the following ways:

50%

used in the development of the game;

25%

for promotion and marketing;

25%

for prizes and bonuses guaranteed by the game.
